A circuit training class powered by your own autonomy. An exploration of muscle hypertrophy that enlivens the whole body. Work your way through upper and lower body, core, and compound movements. We invite you to get as deeply connected, or disconnected while you move through it all in this totally immersive sensory experience. CONTROL RIDE

Unlike traditional rhythm-based classes, this session will focus on resistance and distance challenges. We invite you to get as deeply connected, or disconnected while you move through it all in this totally immersive sensory experience. Throughout the class, we'll be adjusting the resistance to simulate steep climbs and flat stretches allowing you to discover new sensations.

ON THE GROUND

 

SET YOUR CORE ALIGHT

MAT PILATES:

On the Ground builds foundational pelvic floor connection, physical strength and breathing techniques to enhance the relation of body to mind. Expect a primary focus on the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. A modern take on rehabilitation meets dim light and chill vibes. Set your core alight and find your centre all at once.

We would like to honour and acknowledge the traditional 2000 year old lineage that is Yoga. We recognize that in our Yoga rooms we primarily focus on 2 limbs of an 8 limb path: the physical poses (asana) and the breath work (pranayama). We hope to encourage expansion into the deeper teachings of the Yoga traditions.  

With-in the current westernization of Yoga, we feel that we truly can not do service to honouring its full past properly nor the history of systemic oppression of Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist cultures. However, we want to take steps towards reviving the rich teachings of Yoga. We’re taking ‘baby steps’ and committed to further learning as a team.

GROUNDED (RESTORATIVE):

Take your foot off the gas and slide into the slow lane for this mellow, restorative practice. Expand beyond the physical practice with clear and gentle guidance from your teacher. 

Expect to move leisurely through minimal postures in order to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (and shift from fight/flight/freeze to natural homeostasis).

This unhurried practice focuses on finding personal postural alignment at an all-levels pace. Examine your physical and emotional feedback as we float between playful sequencing in this choice-based class. Build foundational pose knowledge, physical strength and breathing techniques to incorporate off the mat and into your daily life

TUNE IN (VINYASA) :

This music-driven, asana class focuses on turning in to attune to Self. Expect vibrant beats, space to free flow and movements to challenge your body and mind, intentionally leaving you invigorated and satiated. Consider this our modern version of a classic vinyasa.

POPPING UP ON OUR SCHEDULE SPORATICALLY

Sometimes stillness can set you free just as much as movement can. Meditation is a mind-body compilmentary medicine. We use intention and breath as our center to guide our meditations. We’re here to make meditation do-able and dive deeper into connection IRL. We consistently bring in new guides with new meditation techniques to try out.

You will have opportunity for discussion and/or journalling at the end of your meditation session. Please consider bringing writing materials.
