Classè Sospeso

As a community we want to work to bridge the accessibility gap that exists within boutique fitness.

A caffè sospeso (pronounced [kafˈfɛ ssoˈspeːso, -eːzo]; Italian for "suspended coffee") or pending coffee is a cup of coffee paid for in advance as an anonymous act of charity. The tradition began in the working-class cafés of Naples, where someone who had experienced good luck would order a sospeso, paying the price of two coffees but receiving and consuming only one.

A person in need enquiring later whether there was a sospeso available would then be served a coffee for free.

Just like at the coffee shops!

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to sweat, move, and connect with their body regardless of financial barriers. The Classè Sospeso program is a pay it forward program, You can donate the advance purchase of a single class to someone who may need it. 100% of these funds will be used to make our classes more accessible to our community. 

THE CLASSÈ SOSPESO WALL: We are revamping our Classè Sospeso program and bringing it IRL. You will find our Classè Sospeso wall in the hallway of CG where you can post a pay-it-forward class for anyone, a specific individual, or identity of person (ie. single parent, Queer or Trans individual, nurse, etc.). Ask any Care Team member for a $20.00 Classè Sospeso card to fill out. OR you can still donate to the fund online if you prefer!

Folks are always welcome to come in and claim pay-it-forward Sospeso class at anytime from the wall or email info@cmmngrnd.ca for more information on the fund!
