In our classes, we strive for body and gender neutrality and trauma-awareness. By taking the seat of the instructor or facilitator, you also take the responsibility of creating brave spaces for ALL people.

    THE CONSCIOUS HEART

    You possess a keen self-awareness and comprehend the profound influence carried by both your demeanor and your words. Foremost in your actions is the prioritization of safety. This encompasses your own well-being, the emotional security of your students, and their physical welfare. Additionally, you maintain a vigilant approach to the safety of the environment itself.

    Your instructional approach integrates language that is inviting and inclusive. You actively foster body-neutral and gender-neutral practices, ensuring that every student feels respected and represented. Moreover, your efforts extend to creating a welcoming space for individuals who have historically faced systemic marginalization, exclusion, or the damaging effects of feeling undervalued within the fitness realm.

    THE PERFORMANCE ARTIST

    Our spin studio is designed like an auditorium with the instructor on their own stage. It is your job to be that performer, to captivate your audience, and just like any other art form, to evoke emotion. You use your bike as your medium to express yourself, to share your stories, and to inspire your community. It is only 50 minutes of your day, your are in a place of major power to influence your class and make change. We expect you to approach this responsibility with unwavering enthusiasm, presenting your most authentic and daring self for the benefit of your class.

    THE WORLD CLASS DJ

    You understand music theory like the back of your hand and use it to your advantage. You can easily identify different beats, progressions and genres that fuel your class in unique ways. How does a hip hop track differ from progressive house? How will moombahton influence your class differently than trance? Newest track or crowd pleasing throwback? Where can you place these songs in your class to take your riders on a robust, mindful journey? You curate playlists that are as bold and powerful as your personality. You know when a drop is coming before anyone else in the room. You can find the beat in any song. You are the go-to musical expert.

    Requirements:

    A minimum of two years previous experience as a spin instructor.

    Previous trauma informed/ sensitive training.

    First aid an asset.

    Availability to teach flexible and variable hours through out the week.
